My cats will lick the bowl long after their food is gone, they act like I'm starving them!Proof that I still take terrible fuzzy photos even when the subject is standing still!
How many times I have to tell Riley... "Stop licking the bowl... the food has been gone for a long time now". There can't possibly be a gram of flavor left, yet, he still licks the bowls. Wishful licking I suppose...
I clean their bowls before they get some veggies when I'm doing food for the birds in the evening. Emma not only cleans the inside of the bowl, she licks the rim and the outside too. I pull their bowls when they're empty and give them a thorough wash every night. Gotta start the new day with a fresh bowl to lick!
I would never have thought cats would do this too!

That's what dog are for! It is a ritual here with two. As soon as they are done eating, they take turns at two of the bowls. Bella walks away and doesn't look back. It's Yonah and Cappy that do the licking.

It's mainly my two boy cats that do it. The female is the Queen of the three of them and she would never stoop so low!I would never have thought cats would do this too!
Can you please tell me how I get Burt to believe this? Bite size pieces for him or they get thrown unless it’s dry stuff. Them feet only touch dry food!!!The nice thing about a big bird, no dishes necessary!
Hand them a chunk or piece.
