Well, it's been a week since I posted progress photos of the 3 baby BFAs so I thought it time for another update. They are now about 5 weeks old -- hard to believe. Here are photos of them that I took earlier today and then for kicks, I am posting photos of them from prior dates to show just how much and how quickly they have developed in barely a month's time.
First let me say, this clutch is so colorful! The yellow on their shoulders is already obvious and abundant. These guys are going to be so much fun to wean. I have one placed so far to a good home but still looking for homes for the other 2. If anyone here should be interested in one of these darlings, please feel free to PM me or to send me an email at: thecozynestbox@gmail.com. We are looking for homes where the babies will remain fully flighted and where the keepers are familiar with or willing to learn how to use positive reinforcement strategies for handling and training the babies.Thank you!
This is a shot of the oldest baby. What a little doll!
Here are the 2 oldest ones side-by-side. Can you see the blue on the head of the oldest to the left?
Here are all 3 together. Look at all that yellow on their shoulders!
This is the youngest baby....what a little sweetie.
Now, just look back and see how far they have come so quickly. This photo is of them just 1 week ago! I just love their fuzzy bottoms.
Here they were on May 23rd.
This is from May 13th...just barely over 3 weeks ago. I am forever amazed at how quickly young parrots develop.
Here they were on May 10th.
