Hello. Today I was at my vet in Czech with my zebra finch Riko, another male and 2 budgies. Riko had an infection 2 months ago. his elbow and wrist joints got swollen. after giving him antibiotics and meloxicam, elbow joints went better, but wrist stayed swollen. He continuosly lost flying. Today I found another problem. Probably some stroke or some coordination problem in his brain. Maybe afection of othe brain after the bacterial infection. When I take him and he runs, he is inclined either on his side part or his back, and looses a stability,. I do not know whether it is a stroke and can be due to that past infection which might hit the brain. Has anybody experienced something like that? When he walks, goes to his side part, or totally on back... I do not want to put him to some hospitalisation centre, it would be more stressful. Thank you.-

Lack of balance can come about as a result of a head trama. Is there any chance that he hit his head?
Such injuries will sometimes self heal over an extended period of time as the swelling goes down. Some never come good. There is no treatment I know of.
