My 11 year old Aussie had his yearly checkup yesterday. I am still upset. Vet found his nodes were seriously enlarged, possible lymphoma. Test results should be back Friday. Life expectancy is 1-2 months.
I lost Princeton to aggressive skin cancer at 14 years, Annie to brain cancer at 14 years, and Shelby to breast cancer at 10 years. I hate cancer!!!!
Prayers would ne greatly appreciated.

Can he be helped if it is the bad stuff?

The University of Illinois (at Champaign) vet department that I took MC to has specialty equipment for radiation (wands).

There was a commercial during super bowl about a dog with cancer that was helped by the University of Wisconsin vet school. You can probably google that commercial.

Even with chemo life expectancy is only 12 months. I won't put him through that. Just going to the vet causes him to be very anxious. That is actually worse than pain to a dog. I will continue to spoil him for as long as I can. When it is time, we will do the right thing.
I believe Heaven is perfect and my pups and birds are waiting for me there.

I'm so sorry, I hope it's something else; false alarm, anything. You've lost enough friends to that hideous disease.

How does he seem to be feeling? Whatever it is I hope he isn't feeling too crummy, poor boy.

Wishing you and your boy well. I get it, I have 3 up there in age too. I hope your results come back that it's not Lymphoma. Hugs to you both!
