This bird is so loved & due to my circumstances I’m not sure I can offer a practical home for him (or potentially her!).

Genuinely love this bird, has had a really good home (at least I think so!!) and a good diet (veggie chop, top’s pellets & sprouts) and is uncaged from 9am to 9pm.

He’s a loud bird for sure, and has started experimenting with his voice and makes some cute noises! He’s approximately 11months old & is in a bit of a hormonal stage.

Healthy Alexandrine Parrot for sal

He’s really sweet, and I’m honestly gutted to need to find him a new home. I have had him since 6 months old.

He knows commands and will do them for a cashew (turn around, wave, kiss, step up, etc). He is very intelligent so needs a lot of interaction and time, please only enquire if you know what to expect from these birds - they are not cuddlers! He is an independent bird and likes being around you once he trusts you but does not appreciate being touched on the feathers. He is very much a typical Alexandrine.

Truly seeking a 5* home, please contact me if that can be provided. I’m happy to provide his toys and cage for no extra cost, but if you have a set up already I’d love to see it - I’m super nervous to let him go!

Presumed male but has no DNA test, could be male or female.

Would love him to go to someone on this forum, so wouldn’t be looking for a crazy rehoming fee - I can’t express how much I want him to go to a good home

Sorry to hear you have to rehome your beautiful bird.

If you don't know her, it may be possible to contact Celine Le Rochais at Coastway Vets in Kemptown to see whether they can help find a suitable home. Celine is their exotics specialist.

He sounds like a delightful bird. I am sorry you feel like you need to find him/her a new home. Can you share your circumstances (if you can't or don't wish to we understand). If so maybe we can help you come up with solutions that would allow to to keep him/her. You sound like you have given him a fabulous home and that you love him very much. I would hate to see him lose a wonderful home if there are other potential solutions.

Good luck with what ever decision you make. We always want what is best for the birds. If it is a new home or ideas to modify a situation for a while until your circumstances improve.
