Post does not appear on my "new posts"

I started this thread yesterday and it has never appeared on my "NEW POSTS" list. Evidently others can see it because others have posted to it. The way I have searched for it is with the time on the last post to the thread

I can see it under the What's New section about half way down but not in the New Posts section. I went back about 7 pages, it seems to have disappeared. @Staff We seem to have a misplaced/hidden post.

What's New includes everything that has been posted to recently, including posts that are read and unread.

New Posts only shows threads that have been updated since your last visit.

What's New is more comparable to our old system.

This drove me crazy too.
Then I found a line for a filter, up under the "new posts" title I think it was.
I made both kinds of new posts unfiltered and now I see them like I want to.

So everything listed under New Posts are things that you have not read yet. So for example click on a post in the New Post section, then go out of that section and back in, that post will now be gone because you have read it already. Does that make sense?

If you want to use the ¨new posts¨ list, you gotta knock off the filter or you will only see new posts (stuff you haven´t read)
