That reminds me of an aquarium in New Orleans (I used to visit there a lot before I moved) and it had a few hundred budgies in this giant aviary. It was so cool! (I think that is where my love of parrots started :D) I wish there was something like this where I live now :sad14:
My love of birds came from the two budgies in a breeder cage my mother brought home. One was blue and the other looked like a misguided canary (yellow lutino with red eyes). I'd love to see a murmuration of budgies in Australia.

Have to go right now .

They have learned to return to their tree. Aka "stationing "

Look closely at their Crests ,for starters. Female Major Mitchell's tend to carry a wider intensity of yellow band through the crest than the males.

Isabelle is a big girl she's 450 grams

Bentley 325 grams
Major Mitchel Cockatoos
Have a sub species of smaller size
They are nicknamed the little pink's. I think Bentley is part of that group.
Their Avian Vet also thinks so.
Each of them have their own unique characteristics.

He sticks his tongue out at me to.
It's hard to catch him doing it to get a video. He sings rocka-by- baby and does head bobbing.
He's my baby boy "wusspa "
:arrested: he loves me to wrap him in his pink soft cuddle blanket/throw
Carry him around like a baby.
It's something that I have routinely done with them in case of emergency. Or when I need to take them outside in the outdoor aviary or transport to veterinary.
They know to go into their carrier climbing out of their blanket.

Dust ha ha!! Well California is dusty ,between the dry climate and oceanic old world Cockatoos
And my sweet little Grasskeets.
I no sooner can dust falling right again.
I use a cool air humidifier it keeps the dust particles from floating around plus it helps with bacteria
I add a baterioststic to the water .
Keeping our environment comfortable as well as our skin hydration and my birds skin and feathers hydrated as well.
For my environment this works better than hepa filters Ihave used.
I keep most of my windows and
patio doors open for air flow.
With hepa filters all it did was filter the out side air. Not conducive for our environment.
They have outside Aviary.
Inside their java tree and their cage that they cohabitate.
The family room is the bird room
We all hangout together.
Thats pretty much it.

I LOVE Majors! If I was to get a cockatoo, it would be a Major.
They are unique, temperament is very different from the White Cockatoos. Just the right size too!
I really enjoy my companion birds.
Someday I hope you're dream of taking care of a Major Mitchell will come true.
They are are endearing and lovely.
