So sorry Michael , just now reading you're thread . Gosh darn life can really be hard .
You did you're best for Poppers it just doesn't seem fair.
My sincere condolences.

Thank you Suzanne, I tried....Her heart issue was worse than vet and I thought from the infection. But vet did caution me when she first had gotten the infection that the enzymes on blood test indicated she had an issue with heart Xrays also slowed the ateries stuck out on xray, meaning she had issues. But she was put on heart meds as well as that for infection. She beat the infection, got and all clear. But she was my strong enough to beat the heart issue.

It took a few days to really sink in for me, to accept she's gone. Taking down her bird cage and cleaning it was hard.
Grayson is a bit lonely, I think he took it a little rough come bed time. They usually like to both sit in a certain spot close to each other at night. Grayson was a unsettled the first couple nites. Not sure where to sleep with out his cuddle buddy.

I did....I let Grayson see poppers. He was good about it.
For a minute or two, he just sat and starred. Glaze fixed on her. Then climbed down went up to nudge her. Stepped back and made a loud click like bell sound. Then nudged her again. I said give poppers kiss good bye and he did.
