Grrrrrrrr..... blasted raccoons!
It's been a while, but one night my husband comes to me after he was brushing his teeth and said.. "I think there's something in our attic". Me: "Why?" Him: "I can hear some noises." He decided to go outside and look on the part of the roof over the bathroom ( it's the lowest part of our roof with conveniently tall bushes to the roof line there). He comes back in and says "There's a raccoon on the roof!" Me: " REally?!!" I go back out with him to look, yep... adult raccoon pacing back and forth. Me: Well, how are we going to get it off of there?" Him: "I don't know". Me: " Wait a minute, I have an idea.... I'm going back in and going upstairs to the bedroom, you stay here and let me know what happens." Quietly, I go into that room, it has a window just above where the raccoon was. Slowly, I pull the shades back and then slap the window with my flat hand hard a few times. I go back outside to my waiting hubby and ask... "Did that work?" Yep. sure did! We didn't know raccoons could fly but this one sure flew off the roof when I banged on that window!!!!! He trimmed that bush waaaaay back the next day.
