Hopefully you can or did find a 24 hour vet clinic. If not others have given you the same information I would recommend as well already. For future reference I do keep a cauterizing pen in my avian first aid kit. I have not needed to use it yet but for a few dollars it gives us peace of mind knowing it's there if the need arises.

He's taking his meds like a champ, eating and drinking beautifully, and slowly coming back to his old self, though he's still a lot more snuggly than before. Poor fella.
(As for me, I'm much less of a drama queen lol. I've dealt with SO many injuries and illnesses among my many animal kids, but seeing that quick made me go a little nuts. So nasty and painful to look at!!)
My AV said that for a bleeding bird you need 3 things: kwik stop styptic powder, a towel and the emergency clinic's phone number. She then added that a good scream and shake outside never hurt anyone.
