Please give me some suggestions about my cockatiel

Hi! I got my cockatiel two days ago, and it has not been eating or drinking much. I have given my cockatiel some electrolyte solution to help with hydration. And Its droppings are green, sticky, and have a string-like consistency. The droppings are also stuck to its vent, making a mess. I’m concerned about its health. What should I do?”

100% a vet visit in order. Do you have an aviary vet near you? How is he acting ? Is he/she acting fairly normal and just not eating or drinking?

She eats only a minimal amount of seeds. I think I will take her to see a vet.

Yes, they gave me some medicine for her. I hope that will help.

What kind of medicine? What do they think is wrong?

They gave me doxycycline 50mg, and they suspect it might be a liver issue, which is causing her to eat less and have abnormal droppings. We plan to treat her with the medication for a few days and then reassess her condition.

Did they tell you to stop giving her the electrolytes for now?

no ，Should I stop the electrolytes? She hasn’t been drinking anything yet, but she started eating a little.

I dont know one way or the other if you should stop giving them. I was just wondering what the vet had to say about it.

I'm confused by their diagnosis and treatment plan. What about the liver are they concerned with and targeting with that medication?
