Toady, male dusky pionus, has always been thin at 185 g. Hopefully my new vet can figure out why and get him treated for it. My last vet said everything on his tests looked normal and he probably just had a fast metabolism. My new vet thinks he could have some ungoing GI issues that could be causing his weight issues. He's 12 years old. <BR>Kei- most likely female dusky pionus weighs in at 208 grams.

Might be adding to an older thread but was wondering if more people can chime in on how much their pionus weighs...
I took Hachu to the vet today... he weighs 233grams. The vet told me he should be around 210grams.

Just a note to those concerned about their birds' weight that weight is particular to each bird. My vet looked at muscle tone etc in determining if my birds were at proper weight.
