Pinkeye ?

I seem to have an allergy eye that turned into pinkeye from handling my bird. What I want to know is can I give it to my bird? I have a love bird that is a velcro bird.....

Pink eye can potentially be passed to a bird if it's bacterial. My understanding is it can be either viral or bacterial. Wash your hands well before handling her, etc. And I would keep her away from your face.

If it's an allergy then it won't be contagious unless you get a secondary infection. Best to be safe though

Pink eye can also be a symptom of psittacosis so you might want to mention it to your vet.
