Naturally I mean my HORSE, not my hubby!
This is Courage, my 11 yr old holsteiner gelding. I got him in 2005 and used him as a hunter-jumper until 2009 when he fractured a bone in his left rear foot. We did rehab for that, and he was recovering well, when the barn owner decided (against my instructions, and the vet's) to turn him out to run. He ran so hard that he injured a tendon.
That was June of last year, and we are just now finishing up rehab for that. So now he's retired from jumping and we are doing dressage. Much to my surprise, I really enjoy dressage! It's very intricate and precise, and we're creating a much more harmonious relationship between me and Courage as we progress.
