Pico Update

Hard to believe, Pico has now been with me for 5 weeks! Anyone following his/our journey knows how hard it was to bring another bird into my life so soon after Rico passed. However there were so many similarities and signs leading me to Pico that I could not ignore them. Also thank you to @Emma&pico for suggesting his name and all the encouragement I got here in making the purchase. We had our early teething problems where I questioned my sanity, lol, but I am glad to report that he is settling down very well. He is fine sitting in his cage and also he behaves himself (for the most part) when he is out of his cage. He has gone past the restless squawking phase and is happy to spend time sitting with me at night.

I think his progress has been pretty good given his background history. Once the weather improves I will take him for a health check at my vets and I may get him DNA tested.

On Saturday, I am taking him to my vet at the Center for Avian and Exotic Medicine for a health check, a nail trim, and a DNA test
