Photos of Luci's swolen toe

I took her out and examined her. The swelling seems to have gone down some, but this has been going on for a few days.
Here are a few shots we took, but they are not very clear...

I wonder if she was bitten by another fid? She might need some antibiotics.

Hmm, she might have been bitten maybe? Or gotten it caught in something.

It's really strange. She is the most quiet of all the lovebirds. None of the others have been near her so I know it's not a bite. Her toys have no loose strings or wires, so that cant be it... I'm puzzled, because at first it didn't even look swolen, but she wouldn't use the left foot. Today it looks less, but she's still favoring it.

I would just watch it and take her in to the vet tomorrow if it's not any better or is any worse.

If I remember right Cayenne pepper is supposed to help swelling. You could make a paste and put on it.

Doe she hang around in your hair? She could have a hair wrapped around her foot if she does.

She could have got the toe nail stuck on something and "pull" her toe ....did she feel like she was "wrapping" it around your finger any or could "work" it while you held her?

No she won't climb near my hair or near me. Her foot is more straight out then wrapped, even when she does use it looks like she's struggling to close it around the perch. I'm watching her closely. It's intermittent.
