Im all for live and let live until some animal negatively interferes with my life or my animals lives. At that point its time to take action.
I agree. The gentleman who lives across the street is kind of they're new owner. He's been feeding them since the former owners of our house left. He's a good friend to us. He's in his late 70's and just spent 5 months in the hospital. We're going to have to approach him about the situation soon. I love both of the dogs, they would make good pets, I've tried to find somewhere for them, to no avail. I would give anything to be able to offer them a home, but I just can't.

I understand. I live in a rural area and it seems to be a dumping ground for cats. Theres a bunch of strays around. I took in one of them because it was sickly and needed vet attention but i cant take them all. We would all love to save the world but it just isnt possible.

Beautiful. This picture reminded me of one that I took in October. My mom and I went to a beer garden located on the water; while I was waiting for her to finish smoking a cigarette, I took a moment to take in the shadows on the sand and the soft waves and the distant seagulls’ cries.

It’s truly breathtaking what you can notice when you stop and take a minute to really appreciate the sights and sounds around you, even if it’s the same old things you see and hear every day.

Well I saw a blinking red light fly up from a distance to a blinking white light and almost merge then circling then moved apart . No noise they both kept steady light , then red one went back to blinking. ...... Stayed that way for the 20 min I observed . Last night January 16th , North Florida . Happy to be part of the mystery

That is so true. So many don't even notice the things around them. When George and I were still RV'ing we stayed at a pull out (totally not allowed) on the Pacific Coast Highway for a week. We watched a raft of sea otters all week, we saw humpback whales, numerous dolphins, bald eagles, etc.
Even without all that, we were up on a high cliff that overlooked a small, private, unused beach. Just that view alone was spectacular. But I can't tell you how many people pulled into that pull out, ran to the edge of the cliff with their cameras/phones, turned around, held the camera/phone up and took a selfie with the ocean background, then, without ever turning around again, ran back to their vehicles.

There were these two women who stopped. George was just about to go over to them with our binoculars and point out the sea otters to them when we heard one of them say, "Let's go! There's nothing to see here!"

We knew she wouldn't find beauty in anything she saw.

Friday again?

Here's a couple of Big Sky pics I took back when we were newbies to the Salton Sea. Boy, I sure miss that place. FB_IMG_1737720090075.jpg FB_IMG_1737720121558~2.jpg FB_IMG_1737720121558~2_20250124111421662.jpg
