Its been cold and rainy so nothing good to take pictures of so i thought i would post a picture of our stray cat that recently passed away at a young age from heart issues. We miss him very much.
That’s an adorable cat (I’m very sorry for your loss. Losing an animal is hard) and the background is so beautiful

Female summer tanager - I was very excited, I'd never seen one before!
I'm not just a budgie lover, but also a bird lover, in general. Before I got my budgies, I spent the entire day watching the birds in my backyard. Of course, in northern Ontario we don't get as many species as further south. But I was amazed to see so many hummingbirds here.... Love birds.

This isn't a brood x cicada.
It's a called a painted cicada, it's dainty

Before I moved out of Toronto, I was living on the penthouse floor of a condo. One day, I discovered a cicada on my balcony. I couldn't figure how it got up there, unless it came in some flower pots. That cicada lived the whole summer on my balcony. If I went out at night, I'd take a flashlight with me to avoid stepping on him/her. I had never seen one before, although I had heard them.

This was taken a couple of weeks ago, ironically during a day at the zoo where I lugged my camera gear around all day. Sat at a picnic bench before leaving, and just as I was setting my camera down to pack away this little Eurasian Nuthatch landed on the table right in front of me. I froze, hoping he’d fly onto the next table so I could snap him, and he not only obliged but then flew on to the fence and posed very nicely for me.
This could be an oil painting.

People actually abandoned their dogs? So cruel. But it seems they are better off with you. They will get their karma!
I wish that they were better off with me, but I already have 2 dogs and now 4 birds. When my 2, who are quite elderly, are no longer here, my birds will be enjoying a lot more freedom. These dogs have been living outside in the freezing cold of winter, and the insufferable heat of summer for two years. They mostly live under my house and are completely destroying the skirting. They bark all night, scaring the birds and causing my dogs to go on a bark down. They have no no-kill shelters here and the lab is already known by the pound as a biter. If he goes back it's immediate euthanasia. However, he attacked my 16 year old, Dusty, recently, so I may have to call the pound. It'll kill me to do it, but it's killing me to see them living this way as well.

Im all for live and let live until some animal negatively interferes with my life or my animals lives. At that point its time to take action.
