Yeah the lights were so cool. And pup belongs to my brother's friend. My brother was up for Canadian Thanksgiving and was dog sitting. Such a good dog. I love that breed too :heart2:

Now youre gonna get warts.
That was the rumor when i was a kid.
Maybe I get a prince instead
:rpg1::rpg9:

Toads are starting to be scarce and it makes me so sad...
But the passion I've put into my yard , all the native plants and pollinators, the places for toad homes and my toad water bowl are working! I'm blessed with so much life in my little neighborhood yard ..just doing a little in thoughtful way can have such a big impact . I always hope it inspires others . I feel like I live in a park and really I have less than half an acre . It's very much a passion, and right now I get to enjoy so many butterflies, bumblebee, birds , tree frogs, toads , it's amazing. Seeing is believing, and my neighborhood has been inspired , so many have added natives and bluebird houses and one even put up a bat house :cloud9:
The neighborhood kids love going for walks and seeing all the butterflies! I finally put a 2 foot square patch of flowers by mailbox so they could see them up close.
I'm bragging, but with all my host plants for butterflies I probably have fifty at time in my yard !! Monarch, Gulf fritterlary, zebra long wings, giant swallow tail, zebra swallow tail, tiger swallow tail, clouded sulfur, and moths too Ive left species out , but this fall it's amazing really it is !

Thanks @Pixiebeak and @Rebel

I got two them this spring and unfortunately I think one had spider mites. It took out my healthy one I already had. So washed off this off and put out so it wouldn't infect my other plants. They been kind neglected for 2 years with getting to sell our house, trying to sell the house, to deciding to take it off the market to finally selling it. It's been a roller coaster. This my final day here. And I'm hoping once We are settled, I can dial in their care. :smileflower:

And then probably buy more plants

I have a double color hibiscus. Yellow and red with normal flowers. Sometime during the summer I started getting these red flowers on the plant. Have no idea what happened. But I think it’s kind of cool. Still get the regular flowers as well and it seems to only affect the odd red one. Not the yelllow ones at all.

also fighting spider mites right now since bringing it in from the outside….

Spider mites are horrible. But your flowers are so pretty :heart2:

I think the unusual one is like doubled headed or something. I've being sold in the flower shops before. I can quite remember what they are called.

I can't think of right term. I know bred or breeding isn't it:lol:I'm so brain dead right that I even look it up. But they "breed" or mix plants to create a different kinds. Cultivate? Is that right word? I remember watching a video about the different kinds of apples and how they get them. It was difficult than you'd think. It was pretty interesting. I'd imagine same or similar stuff happens with flowers. I'll link the video I can find it again.

This isn't the right one but was interesting. They did use the word breeder and breeding, so I don't know. It sounds almost right but not quite right, if that makes sense.

I do love honey crisps.

Here's the video I wanted

I know want apple breeding came mind. But I'm almost certain your unusual flowers are so kind of hibiscus that were bred to look that way. I'm sure I'm seen in stores. They are usually more expensive. I'm not sure they popping. But maybe you got 3 types of hibiscus on the tree than just two. I'm now curious so might look things up later. But my mind is fried for the night. :lolsign:

Yep my brain is fried! I think I meant I've seen those types of hibiscus being sold. Off to bed now! :goodnight2:
