Pepperwood and Prickly Ash

Looking online for natural wood perches to buy, I found a few options of prickly ash and pepper wood with great reviews but Google doesn't tell me if these two branch types are safe. Does anyone know or have any experiences with these kinds of branches? Thanks c:

Prickly ash has medicinal properties that could or could not be good for birds if they chew on it, and since ash (ash tree is listed as safe) and prickly ash trees are different, prickly ash is definitely out of the question.
