So, Penny came to us with vetted as 100% healthy, but two days into her being with us she began to discharge clear, brownish fluid from her cere/nostrils. Not in large amounts, but enough that it would run down her nose like a runny nose with a cold, and she would sneeze out large amounts every now and again.
I spoke with her breeder, who thought it might have something to do with her beak injury healing.
We gave it another day or so and it has worsened as the discharge seems to have thickened. Prudence is not displaying any signs similar to this.
So, just to be sure, off to the vet Penny Lane went
I was sent home with a general anti-biotic to treat infection, and I will be giving it to both birds in case Pru's has gotten this as well.
It is called Enroflaxacin. I have to give them each .04mg/mL once daily orally.
Wish Me Luck
