Here are three photos from the Wildlife Hospital.
A Pelican with a limp. He is having trouble putting pressure on his right foot but is still managing to swim fine. Pelicans are pretty difficult to try and get to eat in captivity. They usually catch the fish in their beaks and then spit it right out. Luckily this big guy is a dream to feed! This makes it easy to medicate him because we just hide it in the fish we give him!
A Barn Owl. I forgot to check this one's chart to see why he is in Raptor Rehab. We currently have three Barn Owls at the Wildlife Hospital! They are gorgeous birds and it is so easy to forget that those talons can cause some serious damage! This guy almost landed on my back as I exited his enclosure.
