Hello everyone ♥
Summer has come and he is starting to taste new fruits.
Indeed, Pasha has a talent for liking all food that should be given limited. :o:

It is first called greengage plum. Yeah it's a little sour but he loved it.

Later he tries a wonderful watermelon.
Please please watch the video with loud volume and hear the voice coming out of Pasha's mouth.

And he's trying some purslane.

It’s a joy to see food eaten with gusto - by a human or a bird! :roflmao:

He eats it raw. :)
I’ve offered it a few times but no one will touch it unless it’s to piff it out of the food bowl lol. I’ll keep trying though!

Do you eat it too?
My old neighbours are Turkish (they were like another set of parents to me when I was growing up) and they used to come weed our garden for the purslane, stinging nettles and marshmallow weed because I don’t use chemicals- omg they used to make the most delicious food, I really miss them and their cooking too lol.

Oh yes, various salads are made with purslane in Turkey. Purslane is also eaten with yoğurt. You are very lucky to have Turkish neighbors in the past.
We even put purslane in some soups. Actually, when I was little, I didn't like purslane. But now I really like both its taste and its benefits.
Here is a picture of some recipes. It's really delicious.
