Hello, I'm new to the forum, and currently looking to give a parrot a new loving home. I currently am Mama to my 10 yr. old Goffin Cockatoo, PeachyPie.

Do you have any parrot rescues in your area? I recently adopted a Budgie and a Cherry-Headed Conure from a local rescue. They have a variety of birds who need good homes.

Have you checked with Bird Haven ? They are about 20 minutes outside of Dallas, and have four cockatoos listed as available for adoption. Then a bit further away are Texas Parrot Rescue and Adoption as well as Texas Parrot Rescue.

I wish you were closer. Our rescue here has a really sweet goffin right now. Are there any facebook bird groups for your state? There are a number for PA. You have to request to join the group- so there is a moderator that tries to keep some of the obvious scammers out. But people there often post that they are looking for a bird and seem to have quite a bit of success that way if there aren't any rescues near you.
