Parents not feeding chicks??

My canary pair has 2 chicks that are almost 8 days old. Things have been going good, until last night. Momma does not stay in the nest at all and I am afraid the little ones are not being fed. I am a little leary of removing them though I think that may be the best option.

Have you looked at them to see if the crops are full? At 8 days the hen might stop staying in the nest at night. She should still feed them.
