So I have a 5 month old Quaker Parrot named Ollie. My family decided to paint the room his main cage is in and didn't consult with me or didn't think about specific paint to buy and I had to move him to my bedroom upstairs to be safe. Im not sure how long I should keep him upstairs.....the room was painted on the 20th of this month.

Welcome to the Avenue Stephanie :)

I would keep him out until the smell has completely gone, then a few days on top of that.

Air the room out well, increase ventilation as much as possible.

Thank you so much! Never thought to join a forum for birds until now ^_^

Yeah I was going to keep him out until the end of the week. It is getting kinda hard to keep the windows open during the day because of the weather dropping. So I ordered an air purifier 2 days ago and is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully with that and a day or 2 of more airing out he should be ok :(
