Our Peeps have arrived :)

So here are our 8 little peeps. I have 3 "Red Star" and 5 "Golden Buff" hens. They are so incredibly CUTE!! and to watch as they run all over and peck at stuff and chicken scratch hahaha. Talk about "feel good" critters, these are so much fun I get a big ol goofy grin watching them

That reminds me of when I brought my birds in to have there nails done. Little girl and her dad had a rooster in a box and the little girl was talking to him to keep him calm every once and w hile he would let out a call and the girl looked embarrassed I assured her he just want to make sure your near him you are making him feel better. It was so cute the rooster was laying his head in little girls hand while she rubbed him.

They are adorable! What colors will they be when they mature?

The Red Star should be a lovely coppery red head and cape feathering, fading to a white/tan on the body and underside neat the vent. They lay brown eggs and are known to be friendly "pet" type chickens if handled alot as youngsters.

The Golden Buff (sometimes called Golden Comet) will be an all over light gold/tan color, and also lay brown eggs. They are a "bulkier" type hen, and known to be easy going and not so noisy/fussy. I have read and seen many different coloration's on these hens, so who knows just what we will get when they grow up, so have lacing and some don't.
