We had an Osprey hanging out down the road today. The post it is sitting on is on the edge of a large hay field. The Osprey was hunting that field.

I did not get any pics cos I am a twit but I did rescue a black tailed kite from the highway this morning that had been hit by a car, I dropped it off at the vets. Most amazing bird I have seen in a long time.

Wow! He's absolutely gorgeous! They're one of my favorite Raptors and it's on my bucket list to get a picture of one. I saw so many over the years fishing in the lake by my house in FL but that's when I was a kid and long before camera phones that were worth anything and even longer before I had a real camera.
