I was a little late feeding the big boys their breakfast veggies this morning which is no big deal as they always have pellets available and if they are really desperate for veggies they will let me know I need to move it with their breakfast dishes.
Birdie always has pellet and seed left in his aviary from the day before but it is usually just the least favorite or chewed up bits of pellet, corn and oats left in the morning which I throw out for the wild birds but as I was late Birdie decided rather than call out for his veggies he would just pig out and fill up on yesterdays left over seed and pellet mix but he only ate the oats out of his left overs.
By the time I got out there with his breakfast he was vomiting all the oats he had eaten which makes me wonder if it just because he ate too much too fast or if he has a hard time digesting them or maybe even an allergy to them or something as this is not the first time this has happened with oats. I have witnessed this twice before with him and each time after all the oat was vomited out he was fine, I know he eats a small amount of the oats when he is picking out pellets and preferred seeds but it is not usually a whole crop full of oats like this morning.
Anyone have any ideas or heard of this sort of thing before?
3 times I have witnessed him vomiting since I have had him and each time it has literally only been oats that are vomited and he is fine after vomiting them up, no symptoms of illness or anything other than the short vomit session.
