I always get California Spray Golden direct from the farmer but this time tried to save on shipping and got another brand from another store. It's a bit brown and some of them would have no part of it
So I ordered the golden again which arrived today

Now i am swimming in millet...er drowning in millet. Doesn't go bad though so it will get used up eventuaaaaaally :D

:omg: That's one big box of millet. Yes in that first pic it does look quite different in color.

I know the feeling......I buy it in bulk too. My fids don't like the "dark" millet either.

What a difference. I'm lucky, my bird stores have wonderful millet.

it actually does go stale and just falls off the steam and breaks up in your hand leaving dust behind - I've bought it like that (not realizing until I was passing it out) my birds refused to touch it, and Millet to my birds is similar to a crack head - Nuff said ! LOL

We ended up growing our own this year - w/out even trying :D and its Mega millet and not the normal small millet .. which my birds love.

but if your birds won't touch the brown could always toss it out for the wild birds they enjoy it as well :) we're fighting our wild birds to leave our millet alone until we get what we want from it then they can have the rest. lol

LOL! That's funny about they don't like dark millet, haha! My fids like dark or golden lol! I have gotten a #5 box of millet and that lasts me at least 4 or 5 months. What site did you get it at Saroj?

Wow lucky birds of yours. I have to get Squeeky some more millet. I found that if you stick millet in the freezer it stays fresher longer :)
