I think he is awesome! He tolerates it really well and as long as he is playing be happy.
Eloy was the same when I was filing his claws, and we solved that with getting treats after every filed claw, and also that he could play with the file after.
If he was getting the file when I needed it, I had things that I know he loved to switch with.
