Not sure whats wrong with my budgie

Hi,

My budgie Salvadora is 3 years old, usually very active and playful, loves to eat and eats both many *safe* kinds of seeds and veggies that she likes.
In the past 3 days she became a bit less active, still flying around the room but sleeping a lot and not eating so much.
She is drinking pretty normal.
She has loose droppings, kind of watery but not entirely, its not smelly at all like an infection might be (she hasn't been eating properly and only drinking, therefore I think its runny because of that and that she isn't sick).
She had dry feet so we also put a bit coconut oil on her feet.
Today, well, just now, we noticed that she was kind of biting her leg, like the inner thigh on both sides and right afterwards a little blood was showing on her beak and thigh.
I immediately grabbed her so she would stop doing it and also so I could examine why.
It seems like there is a dry, crust skin on the same spot exactly on both inner thighs. I'm familiar with mites so I immediately checked her beak, cere, eyes, back of neck for anything that resembles anything but everything was fine, its just the inner thighs that have a very sort of small scab looking skin, it's like skin that's coming off and still healing.
I just put a little more coconut oil on that wound and on the other thigh, she's now sleeping since it's 3am.
Not exactly sure what it could be, but I don't think it's mites or an injury. Could dry skin cause that?

I can't go to a vet where I am at, there are no avian specialist anywhere near me, the drive will be about 4-5 hours and it's so expensive they could charge me over 300 USD just for a visit.
How do i prevent her from biting herself? She will continue to do this after she wakes up tomorrow, one of the thighs looks like it's been chewed.
I don't know what to do.

Please help me!

I’m not an expert, but if you want her to stop biting it, check out this article on stopping bird eating. I hope it helps.

Here's a video of her thigh, with flash you can see yellow parts that seem like dried skin, but I'm not sure.
She's chewing that area, and trying to get rid of these yellow things (may be her skin) and also plucking small feathers in the area too.
I put coconut oil there, that's why it's oily like that.
Here's the link Streamable Video

That definitely doesn't look right. I know that it's far but I think you should probably take her to the vet. She's also breathing pretty heavily. Is she breathing with her mouth open?

She's breathing like that because I grabbed her, otherwise she's just sitting, sometimes grabbing some seeds but mostly sleeping because it's 4am here now.

I would drive all the way to any nearby vet if it would save my parrot’s life.

sorry if this is unrelated, but how do I view my posts? I can only view my threads.

Here's a picture of the particle she peeled off
Screenshot-20200711-041140-Video-Player (looks like skin to me, but can't be sure)
About the vet, I would give anything I possibly could to help her, but vets in my country are barely specialised with dogs and cats, that's from past experience.
I'm afraid the vet would just tell me to put her down without even weighing all the possibilities.
Plus, they are close today and tomorrow.

Putting a bird down sounds terrible. I would do whatever I could do for today and tomorrow, like loving on her, giving her your goodbyes and such just in case. It sounds like they were a lovely bird. Hopefully the vet can do something about it.

Her thigh looks really bad and sore :(

The watery poops and eating less before the biting started is also a sign that something isn't right. Are you able to think of any causes or changes recently that may have brought this on?

Also did the biting/chewing start before or after you applied coconut oil? The only thing I can think of for dry feet is scaley mites.

Where are you located so some other members can suggest avian vets? It could be really far away but could be worth it to help your budgie get better.

I'm sorry but that leg looks very painful. I could be anything from mites, parasites or a skin infection. She needs a vet before it becomes septic. Even if they don't specialize in birds they can still prescribe antbiotics. She needs to go now.

Please don't use any more coconut oil in that area. In fact don't use anything in that area.
