My eclectus is going through his first molt and his tail feathers have been going from an orange to a bright yellow. I have read this is caused by a deficiency in their diet. How to I solve this?

PS. He is wet from his bath so it may be harder to see

Are you sure that isn't just his adult plumage? The 2 male eclectus parrots that I've seen both had yelow-tipped tails.

I hope it is and it probably is, but I want to make sure that it is not a bigger issue.

Maybe it's just a normal color?

Yellow feathers are a worry if they come in full on yellow, tail feathers with yellow tips are safe. Its just another sign of what subspecies your ekkie is. Basil has them as well.

That's normal coloring :) some subspecies (like aruensis) have red tail feathers as youngsters and then molt them out for yellow tail tips
