Hey everyone, Wanted to briefly introduce myself. I’m in Ontario Canada. I have had cockatiels, cockatoos and CAG. The cockatoos were rescues years ago. New home were found for them. One sadly passed away. My CAG was pretty much my first large bird although really they aren’t THAT large , but far from what I’d had. I won’t go into details about her(him, actually but was used to calling him a her). I made many mistakes starting with the breeder but that is all ancient history. I’ve had a rough Christmas season starting with my 13 year old Belgian Malinois (Dog) of 13 years whom I had to say goodbye to just before the holidays. On the 30 of December my Sabra (CAG) had passed very unexpectedly and it breaks my heart. She was almost 33. After that my 18 year old cat became quite ill and after a dose of antibiotics seemed to be on the mend but I think he may be regressing again this morning. Anyways, it’s been so quiet I could hardly stand it. I decided I wanted another bird but not a CAG. Not now anyways. So I’ve looked for crimson bellied conure babies but nothing in my area. I did however come across some Lineolated parakeets and after reading up about them I brought 2 youngsters home just a few days ago. They are beautiful little babies and I’m very happy with them. Unsure if I want to clip their wings as I think flighted birds are happier and physically healthier if aloud to fly about On the other hand I’d like them to be very tame so clipping can help. I’m pretty undecided. Thanks for listening to my long diatribe. I will try to attach a pick. I haven’t named them yet either. Suggestions are welcomed!
