i recently bought a new natural perch for my birds, but they seem to be afraid of it. i moved a perch that they liked to the other side of the cage and replaced that spot with the new one, but they don’t like it anymore. i’ve tried offering millet, and two of them (out of three) went on it to eat the millet, but they didnt go on it otherwise. they also havent been to the other perch in its new spot. its been like that yesterday and today, and im wondering if it would be good to swap them again. the thing is, i want them to use the natural perch, since theyve had mostly dowels.

any advice?

I’ve always had to just put it in the cage and wait, putting the perch near a food or water bowl will help get them used to it faster.

I got a platform perch a little while ago and Kiwi was afraid of it at first but I put it in front of his food (with extra seed lol) and he quickly got over his fear.
