My name is Samantha and I'm going to get a Parrotlet next weekend at a local bird show. I've had birds before but this will be the first one that I'm getting on my own and not a family pet. It's been a long time so I'm kind of nervous, I've been reading all the forums and watching YouTube videos on safety, health, and training. It is intimidating, all these things that need to be considered. But hopefully my concern means I'm ready to bring a new baby bird home. I wouldn't mind some advice or thoughts I may not have considered. I really want to give my bird the best home possible. Thanks for reading =)

I'm assuming you've got a handle on the basics...cage, food, etc. Remember, the internet can get confusing, one "expert" will say something that directly contradicts some other "expert". Do you know anyone who has p'lets? If so, talk to them and get their take on having P'lets.
Once you get your new little guy/girl home, the actual learning will start...taught by the little one them self! I've had birds in my life over 30 years,and I'm learning things everyday from my birds.
You've flown into a great place for birds...and their people. Check out P'let Place, if you haven't already...great info there, and it's the place to ask your questions...
