I recently (as of December 30, 2018) got a green cheeked conure. He is very loud and outgoing. He will eat treats from your hand. I am trying to pet him, and he keeps biting me. Does this mean that he doesn’t like to be touched? He is 4 years by the way. Any tips on how to gain his trust?

I'd say, patience is key. Also please stop making the same forums. If it has only been two days, I would leave him be for awhile. Give him time to adjust. Allow him to eat from your hand if you would like, but stay within his comfort zone.

You've only had him for 2 days. I'd be patient. Also if he bites, I wouldn't recommend you pull your hand back. Parrots are smart and he'll realize all he has to do is bite you to keep you away. I'd be gentle and patient. He's new so if he wants left alone, back off a bit. Good luck. :brnhead:
