I'm adopting a disabled 26 year old Senegal that lost their toes from frostbite 15 years ago. The bird climbs and flies well, but cannot walk and has not been DNA sexed. My other bird is an 11 year old male Jardines, Bobo.

I've never had to introduce 2 Poi. The Sennie has lived with a variety of other birds with no problems and is reported to be gentle and friendly. My Jardines is spunky, previously shared a cage with a Pionus at the rescue and came with a warning that he could be aggressive.

How long should I quarantine the Senegal? What's the best way to introduce the 2 birds?

Approx 6-8 weeks. You will want to get the new bird disease tested at the vet and receive the results before allowing them to share the same airspace.
