I’ve bought a decent size concrete stock water tank to use for my water plants and fish. I’ve read they’re safe once aged or when all the lime has leached out (I think it was lime but I’m not certain now) so I’m wondering how many times I should fill and empty it and how long I should leave it to weather before it’s safe for my fish.
If anyone knows the best and fastest way for me to prepare it for my fish I would be very appreciative of the help.

Fill to the point of overflowing cover to stop evaporation drain after 1 week and cover again.
Will take approx 6 weeks of doing this i would test PH from 4 weeks onwards until getting a neutral reading.

It’s all going to depend on whether it’s new concrete or already cured. Many tanks out here ship from manufacture but sit on a store lot and by the time of purchase have neutralized almost enough for fish.
Can you grab some cheap PH strips? That’s truly the only way to tell.
Will you be using rainwater to fill it?
