I searched for images of Gloster canaries and it looks close. I found somewhere that said they are often confused with crested canaries, and these latter seem very similar. He/she is a very friendly little bird. My friend turned up with him/her, no cage, no food, no info. Searches on the Chinese name yielded nothing useful. I told the friend that I have big birds and can't look after this one, but my protestations fell on deaf ears. He also has big birds and seemed unwilling to be bothered. I sourced some friends for him/her, as I cannot take him/her out of the cage often... my other birds already need my time and they can't be out at the same time.Is it a gloster canary? (Spelling could be wrong)
