I am (again) trying to convince my small boys to eat pellets.(Versele Laga nutribird)
I just started so i give them the normal seed amount, mixed in with wet pellets twice a day to get used to the taste.

I was thinking about making birdie bread with ground up pellets and veggies (they also do not eat any veggies.only seeds)

What is a good and easy recipe that is irresistible for small finch beaks?
(With some veggies and ground up nutribird pellets )

I haven't done with with the Versele Laga pellets, but for Harrison's I do:

2 cups pellets
About 1 cup water
1 cup finely diced veggies
1 egg
1/4 cup applesauce or pumpkin puree

I let the pellets sit in the liquid for 10+ minutes to make sure they absorb the liquid, and if it is too crumbly I add a bit more water.

I put it in a 9x9 glass baking pan.

I also usually sprinkle seeds on top and press in a little before baking so that they try to dig them out.

Bake at 350 F for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
