just wanted to introduce my self, i am a first time bird owner, and love it. We have a 6 month old english budgie a very loveable bird. Also a 6 month old conure. The breeder informed us it was a black tailed green cheek, but after doing some research of my own, i am now wondering if he is a green cheek. If anyone can help it would be awesome. Thanks alot 100_1695.jpg 100_1701.jpg

oh wow, it looks like your breeder either lied to you or doesn't know what they're talking about or breeding:eek:. definitely not a green cheek. i think it looks like a black capped conure, also.

I'd say black capped also - but check out this Untitled Document at least it gives you a visual comparison. :DThe black cap conures always seem to have that beautiful scalloped effect on the feathers on their necks which the gccs don't have.

A little more unusual, & every bit as charming & intelligent as a GCC. Your breeder may have been having a Senior Moment (I get them all the time!) S/he is adorable
