Chia Egg
1 tablespoon of finely ground Chia seeds
3 tablespoons of warm water
in a small dish combine water and Ground Chia seeds, stir till well combined, cover and let sit in the frig for at the least 20 minutes better 1/2 hour. one Chia egg equals 1 egg yolk. if you grind your own seeds keep them in the freezer after grinding

That's interesting. I've used unsweetened applesauce when I've baked the AO breads.

Can do the same with ground flax seed (flax seed meal), same ratio. I find flax becomes gooey sooner. I use eggs though because I want that extra vitamin D! :D

I don't buy eggs just egg whites in a carton. My birds won't eat the bird bread, though. I was going to try it with egg whites when I had the mixes but then I thought it would produce a spongy bird bread. :D

The yolk is where all the good stuff is though! If you're not going to feed the yolk, it's honestly pointless to give them eggs, and I'd stick with the flax or chia ;)

I had both flaxseeds and Chia seeds in the house. the Chia seeds were easier to grind down (JMHO) in the blender. just don't open the top for a few minutes, stuff will make you sneeze.
