My scaled and 'fluffy' pets

So I've talked about my collection of tarantulas and scalies before and some of them were being extra photogenic today.

So a mixture of fluffy Spiders , my gecko Nori, Fili the Anole, Kill the Chuckwalla, Vecna the milksnake and Wee Jas the hognose.

Calm mornings are good mornings.

That is only 4 of the tarantula hoards we have. However most are arboreal and they are hiding in their logs xD

That is Peregrine Took xD also known as Grammastola Pulchra

so cool! What kind of gecko do you have? I have a crested, just got her not even a month ago! Is the big lizard a chuckwalla?!

THe big lizard is the Chuckwalla, and I have a Stumpffi's ground gecko also called a big headed gecko :3

Except for the spiders, which I am deadly afraid of, you sure do have a cute family there.

Best name ever. And he´s a beauty!

I wouldn´t have an arachnid as a pet, but I understand why peaple do, they are very interesting and I enjoy admiring from afar.... but number 4 gives me the jeepers... I think it´s the legs that do it.
The spider on the 8th picture is cute! Very fluffy and chunky

Good to know!! How long are his legs? Do you get him out?

 

[Porter]

You don't really 'get them out' tarantulas are display animals; you give them a nice enclosure that isn't too large else they get stressed out. Most are pet holes that only come out when hungry.

You feed them with tongs.

honestly many in the hobby liken them to pet rocks. They don't form attachments and usually just want to be left alone.
