Urgent My parrot (green cheek conure) fell and was holding his leg

It happened yestreday, he got scared of something and fell and faw cluthing one of his legs. He stopped after like a minute and got back to using it as before. It was concerning enough but even more because it happened before. He fell, clutched his leg and was all good few seconds later. He seems all good now, walking, climbing, using it to stratch himself but it's still worrying

"Why is he falling so much?"
I got him from other people and there he had an accident with a different parrot that attacked him and hurt his wing. He was treated but lost the ability to fly.
It's not happening often but he jumps away when he's scared of something or really wants to get down or to somewhere and climbing isn't an option.

I have called 5 vets yesterday because at this point I wanted to do an x-ray to make sure he's ok, but of course, no one would take on a bird and the only avian vet nearby doesn't really treat small birds.
I ended up reading some more about x-ray and now I'm concerned how stressful it would be to him or if everything would be ok during it or after etc etc and now I'm not sure anymore...

Do you know how old your bird is? And what's his diet like?

My Jardine's falls occasionally; he used to fall more, and my vet said it was partly due to a calcium deficiency and partly due to arthritis. He was in an all seed diet when I got him at 19, so now that we have fixed his diet, it's been much less frequent. He would do that clutching his leg thing though a lot in the beginning.

This is just one possibility. I would see if you can search farther out for a vet still. I've never had a Avian vet turn away my small birds! But the closest actual Avian vet is a 3 hour drive.

An x-ray wouldn't be my first choice, but it can be helpful if a vet thinks more investigation and information is needed. They usually just need to be put under lightly so that they don't move, and most birds bounce right back out quickly and easily. Every single procedure we do with any of our pets (or even ourselves!) carries risk.

Did he just fall fall? Because for my parrot it's just trying to flee kind of situation. When he's scared he looks at it like crazy, screams bloody murder or he tries to fly away and since he can't he just falls and that's the problem. Otherwise I'd say that he has a good balance.

Not from US but checked it for my country andit showed 3, closest one over 6hours away from where I live

Yes Ripley will just fall suddenly. He otherwise has fantastic balance, but every once in a while he just...can't hold on anymore.

But yeah, sounds like yours is an issue with the wing.
