Well not literally...
But since a week after finding her she makes a froggy sound.

I thought it was quite unique, but when Lapis was a few months old she was imitating all of her mums sounds... Including the frog noise.

None of my other birds do it.

Do any of yours?

Omg lol! That really does sound like a frog. Sometimes lychee will make a similar sound like “ba bap” but it’s not quite so amphibian haha

My cockatiel very clearly made frog noises. But that's because his former owner had a motion activated frog statue by his cage. He learned to mimic it. And if you said "Sunny, do froggy", he would start ribbiting on command. I posted this before, but weirdly, my foster canary-winged parakeet, Kevin, who was in Sunny's cage, started ribbiting shortly after I got him. It freaked my out a little, like he was channeling Sunny....

That is a little spooky!

It´s just strange, lovebirds aren´t known for their mimicking skills... I don´t know where Aldora came from but I´m pretty sure she didn´t live with a frog :roflmao:

That is hilarious! My girl has an occasional croaky voice but it’s more like she’s whispering her usual happy sounds. She has started honking at me. It is totally unlike any other sound she makes but no frog noises yet!

Maybe Aldora upload_2019-4-4_8-59-13.jpeg was kissed by a prince :king: and turned into a princess :queen: bird?

I read this on the bus on the way home earlier on, and I was laughing out loud :roflmao:

Yep, Momo makes that same sound when she is chilling high up in the curtains!
Ooooh cool. It is Aldoras angry noise, or if she is protecting something she will make this noise. Lapis copies the noise but just does it randomly when relaxing.

I showed Loki this video and she kept saying kiss kiss to her
That is the cutest thing in the world!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They look similar too , except Loki is peach faced and Aldora is white faced.

I kissed a bird and I Like IT!!!!

That is the vocal quality I associate with a bird attempting to imitate a human voice. I predict this baby will be a talker.
