I love you so much Clementine and I will always be eternally grateful for the time I had with you. You were the best little dog in the world and everyone who has ever met you could never stop gushing about how sweet you are. In the years I had you, you went from the most anxious, constantly shaking, crying and peeing when meeting strangers, to a dog who jumps around happily, wagging her tail, and runs up to new people just to roll over and get belly rubs.
I will forever miss you, miss you forcing me to pet your tummy for hours, miss you running to the door to great me with everyone else, miss waking up and you launching yourself onto my chest to say good morning, im going to miss every part of you.
She was diagnosed with IVDD last week but yesterday she started seizing back to back around 11pm. Before she was brought back to see the doctor and on the drive there etc. She probably had 12 seizures. She was still showing severe pain signs with even being sedated with a strong sedative anti seizure med and with it being onset so fast and hard, the options wete basically spend around $25,000 on neurology diagnostics with a large chance of still having to put her down, trying to have her on permanent 3 different meds with pretty bad side effects and no guarantee they'll do anything, or stop her suffering. Even the past week being cratebound, and looking back at it now with it being neurological, everything makes a lot more sense. She went to sleep in my arms surrounded by some of her favourite people at around 4am.
She passed 11/11, I copied and pasted this from my Facebook so things might be a little wonky timeline wise like 'last week' or '4am'
I'm crying again posting this, but I don't talk about my furbabies a lot on here mainly my birds, but Clementine was 8 when I got her, she came from a hoarding house of over 40 dogs and was pregnant back to back her entire life. She never had a name, a collar, and had never been outside. She was 11 and how I wish I got to have more than 3 years with her. Everyone she meets was always obsessed with her because she was such a happy little sweet girl who would do anything for cuddles, everyone always said they expected an 'ankle biter' when they met her. My other dog Ari has never really been a fan of other dogs but he loved Clemmie so much and theyd cuddle all the time. I miss her so badly. I love you my Clemmie. Her song
