My Indian ringneck

My Indian ringneck Cosmo likes to hang off his toys and chew them. He was hanging upside down on his wooden chew toy like a bat and chewing away.

It this normal and is it safe for him to be chewing wood while hanging off his toys.

He only occasionally does this otherwise he chews and plays with them normally.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - unless he actually swallows the wood.
In that case you should remove the wooden toys from the cage.

But otherwise than that, nah he's probably only just being a bird and playing around.
In the wild they also do things like that, maybe it gives him an extra fun dimension to playing; who knows

Whiskey also loves hanging upside down doing .. well anything really.
He even eats and preens upside down.

I was wondering about that!
My youngest sits in the cage upside down (hanging from the ceiling), it´s freaking me out! I think I posted a thread about it. The other day I spotted Gisli hanging from the ceiling by their feet and preening... for like 20 minutes!

The first time Whiskey was hanging upside down in his cage I thought.. I somehow broke him
But I also thought so when he started beak grinding for the first time so...

Yes, Gisli lol.
None of my other birds hang like that. Sometimes they will perch weird and upside down, but not the same.
S/he sometimes just sits there, still, it´s spooky lol

I will try to make pictures/videos tomorrow - right now he's sleeping and I should go to bed as well in a bit.
