My friends Canary...bad story

[M.C Bird Rescue]

Woman called me about wanting me to remove a leg off of a canary, the other leg had fallen off due to a leg band. So, she wanted the other taken off or for me to kill it because she didnt have the money for the vet. I was in the middle of an adoption, my friend Peggy talked to her also, and picked up the Canary. She sent me pics of him and his set up, so I can post on my site things to watch for. Poor Canary, at least he is alive, eating, and enjoying his life. '

Picture of the only foot he has. It is very deformed.

The other leg has been taken off by the lack of circulation due from the leg band.

Pic of his house, a fish tank. He must live with a flat surface. He is also unable to fly at all.

Yes she thought it would be better if I A. Chopped the Leg off or B. Killed it. That lady...SHEESH!

No, I do not have the canary, he lives with a lady that donates cages..shes a breeder but lets me borrow cages when I need them. She has him, and he is doing great!

I'm so glad the little canary found someone to look after him. I would've told the lady I'd put her to sleep!

the band is more the fault of who ever put it on and did not watch to see if it was the correct size or if it was causing injury... leg bands can be good other wise...you can tell how old, who it is, and if you use to diffrent colors sex
