Urgent My Budgie's wing is all messed up on one side...

So I was just checking on one of my birds' wings for new growth of feathers (he has a congenital feather defect but it isn't painful for him) and one of his wings is all purple-ish black and I'm worried!!! What could be wrong with my bird? I'm making arrangements to see the vet in a few hours, but I need to know if there is anything I can do in the meantime/what is wrong with him... I have included a picture of the normal looking wing and one of the messed-up looking one for comparison

If you bird is acting normally and eating and drinking, they will be ok in their cage until you are ready to leave in a couple of hours.

Hey, How did you get on at the vet?

I had to reschedule, as the vet called and said someone had an emergency with one of their parrots, and whether I would be okay to re-book. I said I wouldn't mind (keeping in mind I know how scary it is to have a bird in medical distress, and I would never wish that upon anyone), and I should be able to get in tomorrow

Oww,,,just keep him calm and quiet as possible, it looks like he banged it on something..if hes acting normal, that's great! Maybe a few extra scritches..glad the vet can see him tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure that's just bruising, but good that you're getting it checked.

Update:
He wound up being all good, just some bruising that went away fairly quickly
